CHALLENGE
Springfield City Schools' copier inventory was old and consisted
entirely of analog units, primarily Panasonic copiers that were
in need of upgrading. However, their budget did not provide for
increased expenditures.
SOLUTION
BEC's review of the situation provided a three-factor approach that
allowed SCS to get new Panasonic digital copier/printer and stay
within their current budget:
1. Panasonic's
Non-Profit Program provided excellent value to eligible customers
with deep-discounted pricing.
2. The service
contract for the new units was reduced by BEC, due to the more efficient
Panasonic digital copier/printers.
3. Favorable
lease rates were also an important factor.
BEC replaced
thirty-nine unite with Panasonic digital copier/printers that also
have the ability to become scanners and faxes. As SCS proceeds with
their plans of future connectivity, they have units in place to
provide multi-functions. Their new lease and service contract that
provided new Panasonic products as well as future networking flexibility
does not exceed their budgetary parameters. DOCUMENT SOLUTIONS do
not always mean increased costs.
