CHALLENGE
Typical of many large institutions, MHP needed to evolve from analog
systems to digital technology. They had copying, printing, faxing,
and scanning needs that were utilizing stand-alone machines to accomplish
their multiple tasks.
SOLUTION
Over a three-year period, BEC provided a planned replacement of
the eighty five analog machines with digital units that enabled
MHP to meet the increasing demands of the Health Provider Industry.
This was accomplished with fewer pieces of equipment, and reduced
costs. Specific criteria were addressed in the Emergency Room that
provided SCAN TO E-MAIL technology that permitted patient information
to be e-mailed to multiple physicians, replacing the paperwork and
effort of faxing, and maintaining proper HIPPA security.
Stand-alone
printers, copiers, and fax equipment were replaced with multifunctional
equipment as part of the process of providing DOCUMENT SOLUTIONS
for MHP.
